A man has died after throwing himself in front of a moving train at Wynberg Station on Saturday morning, 29 November, footage of which has been circulating across social media platforms, reports Cape town Etc .
In the video, an unknown male can be seen standing close to the tracks moments before jumping off the platform and in front of the approaching train, with bystanders screaming as the tragedy unfolded.
According to reports, a male in his 40s unknown name and address jumped in front of a train. He was struck by the train and sustained critical injuries, confirmed police spokesperson Captain Frederick Van Wyk, who added that Wynberg police registered an inquest following the incident that occurred at around 10:30am.
