The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport hosted the annual Cultural Awards at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town on Tuesday, 7 October 2025.
Cultural awards celebrate arts, language, heritageThe ceremony celebrated people and organisations that support arts, language, heritage, libraries, museums and archives across the province.
Winners took prizes in several categories. Renowned musician Loukmaan Adams famous for his roles in the iconic District Six and Kat received a Ministerial Commendation. Dr Isaac Balie won a Ministerial Legacy award for lifelong contribution to his field.
