Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services say aerial support has again been roped in to help combat a fire raging between Hout Bay and Klein Constantia.
Fire spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse , says the fire ignited on Tuesday in Hout Bay and reached the mountain ridge overnight towards Klein Constantia.
Several flare-ups have been spotted, fanned by prevailing winds in the mountain areas. Helicopters will resume waterbombing after being withdrawn earlier today to try to quell the flare-ups and support ground crews. City Fire Services are on scene, along with ground crews from TMNP and NCC. No property is at risk, Carelse says.
