Cameroon Telecommunications Camtel has announced the visit of a high-level delegation from Ethio telecom to Yaounde on December 3 and 4, 2025, for the signing of a Master Service Agreement MSA between the two state-owned operators. The agreement marks the beginning of a three-year strategic partnership designed to strengthen South-South cooperation and accelerate Cameroon's digital transformation.
The collaboration focuses on four priority areas that will support the country's digital ecosystem. These include the expansion of Camtel's Blue Money electronic payment service, the digitalisation of public services through the deployment of a sovereign Government Cloud, and the modernisation of telecommunications networks with the advancement of 4G, 5G, and other innovative technologies. The partnership also aims to support Camtel's internal transformation, covering organisational improvements, upgrades to information systems, and initiatives to strengthen customer-centric culture.
During their mission in Yaounde, the Ethio telecom delegation will participate in an official welcome ceremony, technical and commercial working sessions with Camtel teams, and discussions centred on the implementation of the Master Service Agreement. They will also meet with government authorities and key institutional and strategic partners, including those responsible for customer relations.
