When I join companies, I fix what I can and always leave those organisations elevated. My departure from Newzroom Afrika is no different, the media personality wrote.

He promised his cheerleaders who have been saddened by my exit from broadcasting that he would make them proud again.

I resigned because my skill has been sought for different challenges, Sampear added, revealing that when he received the offer, he went back to Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya's PhD dissertation.

He also reflected on Eskom board chairperson Mteto Nyati's decision to join the public service. He was subsequently convinced that there must more that this darkie can do for his country.

I have joined the Department of Tourism under the leadership of Minister Patricia De Lille . This beautiful nation has done so much for me. I'm indebted, Sampear said.

State policies like social grants and free primary healthcare helped pull me out of poverty and journalism was the vehicle. Kasie FM , my first broadcasting home, was itself supported by a state agency, the MDDA Media Development and Diversity Agency.

My life is a testimony of God's love for us and now I get to say THANK YOU in a BIG WAY and help pull more people up with me. I'm so damn proud of this little boy. Baby se kind. Remember to love each other and lead with compassion.'

Sampear joined Newzroom Afrika last year and co-anchored the AM Report until his resignation. His stint at the channel was blighted by a road rage incident in April. He took a brief break and returned shortly thereafter.
