Algerian A side coach Madjid Bougherra has resigned from his position following the nations elimination from the FIFA Arab Cup on Friday.

Bougherras side failed in their quest to secure a second successive Arab Cup title, falling to the United Arab Emirates 6-7 on penalties in their quarterfinal after a 1-1 draw in Doha, Qatar.
