Botswana President Declares State Of Public Health Emergency

Botswana President, Duma Boko has declared a state of Public Health Emergency. This follows reports of a dire shortage of medicines at public clinics and hospitals.

He has also announced he has set up a five-billion Pula fund, equivalent to R6.5 billion, to stabilise healthcare services in the country.

Botswana Development Corporation BDC has been tasked with the responsibility of leading that process.
