The Border Management Authority BMA will, this morning unveil new security measures to boost traveler verification and law enforcement at ports of entry.

It says the move is part of its renewed push to enhance border security operations. The BMA also says it will cover all the four critical areas.

The Commissioner and CEO of BMA Mike Masiapato says the areas include immigration, agriculture, health and environment.

The first thing that I can indicate is around the immigration stamps. That is one area that has been seriously vulnerable and seriously abused. So on that basis, we had actually done the introduction of a highly secure and highly sophisticated stamps that we have actually started using from Friday." says Masiapato.

He says they will also be be touching on issues about the processes that they have started to fully enhance the movement of mortal remains in and out of the republic. "We will also reflect on the challenges that we have been observing for all this while," he adds.
