The Eastern Cape Office of the Premier has announced that President Cyril Ramaphosa has granted the request for Bishop John Bolana of the Bantu Church of Christ in the Eastern Cape to be given a Special Provincial Category 2 funeral .
Bishop Bolana, the fifth bishop of the church, is being recognised for his contribution to society, his spiritual leadership, and his service to the people of the Cape.
He passed away last Tuesday after a short illness, aged 82.
