Bayobab, a subsidiary of the MTN Group specializing in digital infrastructure in Africa, has been shortlisted for the Best African Connectivity Provider award at the 2025 Global Connectivity Awards.
The company boasts over 127,000 km of fiber and 37.9 tbps of data capacity, connecting more than 50 African countries. In 2024, its network expanded to 61 Points of Presence across 27 countries, enabling over 4,500 roaming services. Bayobab thanked Capacity Media for the honor and announced that the award ceremony will be held on October 22, 2025.
