MTN Digital Infrastructure, commercially trading as Bayobab, announced the appointment of Sajid Ahmad Khan as Regional Managing Director for South and East Africa, effective 5 January 2026. In this role, Sajid will oversee Bayobab's operations across the region, while directly leading the Bayobab Kenya business.
With a mandate to translate Bayobab's pan-African connectivity vision into regional impact, Sajid will be responsible for driving commercial performance, accelerating network monetisation, and strengthening customer value delivery through strategic leadership and cross-border collaboration.
Sajid brings over 26 years of global leadership experience spanning Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to transform traditional operating models into agile, digitally enabled, high-performing businesses.
