Barcelona have doubled down on their stance that Fermin Lopez will not be leaving the club this summer, unless the midfielder himself requests an exit and a truly extraordinary bid lands on the table.
As of today, the Catalan giants remain firm, with head coach Hansi Flick confident that Lopez will stay at Camp Nou. However, he admitted that the final say ultimately lies with the player. To underline their position, Barca have raised Lopez's valuation from 70 million to 90 million, a clear signal that he is considered untouchable.
Chelsea have already tested Barcelona with an offer in the region of 50 million. Softfootball also understands that the London club handed Lopez a 48-hour deadline to decide on his future. Yet, with no public statement from the player, the situation remains in limbo. Barcelona earlier rejected interest from Manchester United for the midfielder and are still maintaining their stance on this matter.
