The South African mens football team is a step closer to qualifying for next years FIFA World Cup in the Americas. Bafana Bafana retained their five-point lead over second-placed Benin in Group C following a 3-0 victory over Lesotho in Bloemfontein tonight.
Mohau Nkota was first on the scoresheet for Bafana after just 15 minutes, while Lyle Foster and Oswin Appollis sealed the win with goals just after the hour mark and within four minutes of each other. The match was an away fixture for Bafana.
Benin beat Zimbabwe 1-0 in Ivory Coast in this evenings other Group C match.
