Atletico Madrid has announced the death of club legend Enrique Collar, who captained the team to a league title and three cup successes in the 1960s.

The red and white family loses a symbol who gave everything to take Atletico Madrid to the pinnacle of national and continental football, the club said in a statement on Monday.

According to AFP, the left winger scored 105 goals in 470 appearances for Atletico between 1953 and 1969 and captained the side for 10 years in the 1960s, making him the clubs longest-serving skipper.
