The Secretary General of the African National Congress ANC, Fikile Mbalula, says the alliance with the South African Communist Party SACP is at a crossroads.
Addressing delegates at the 16th ANC Greater Johannesburg Regional Conference in Sandton, Mbalula confirms that the SACP has resolved to contest the upcoming local government elections independently.
Earlier this week, ANC Gauteng chairperson Panyaza Lesufi urged members not to allow the alliance to collapse.
