Anc Task Team In Vhembe Challenge Regional Conference In Court

An urgent application to interdict the African National Congress ANC regional elective conference of the Vhembe region in Limpopo is being heard in the Thohoyandou High Court, sitting in Watervaal.

Some members of the ANC Regional Task Team are challenging the process to prepare the regional elective conference.

In the affidavit before court, they state that the partys NEC and PEC be interdicted from proceeding with elections of the leadership pending resolution of credentials of all the branches.

Judge Thogomelani Tshidada says the application is not ordinary and he therefore took time to read papers.

While I was going through the papers these are not simple and ordinary application that one should pay lip service. I had to take a little while to make sure that I go through the papers and understand the issues raised and arise from the papers, says Tshidada.
