The African National Congress ANC has accused the Democratic Alliance DA of liberal arrogance after it celebrated President Cyril Ramaphosas apparent praise of DA-run municipalities.
Speaking at the ANC councillor roll call on Monday 15 September, Ramaphosa admitted that DA-governed municipalities often have better audit outcomes compared to those run by the ANC.
We control a number of municipalities, and it is hugely painful, each time when the Auditor-General reports to Cabinet, that municipalities that do best are not ANC-controlled municipalities, he said.
