The African National Congress ANC in the North West has removed three of its councillors at the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, including Itumeleng Moarabi, who is currently fighting over the mayoral position with Dinah Pitso.
Moarabi and Pitso both regard themselves as mayors of the municipality.
This comes amid tensions of ANC councillor factions at the Zeerust-based municipality, which led to yesterdays shooting at the municipal building.
