The African National Congress ANC in KwaZulu-Natal says it has finalised the process of establishing an interim leadership structure across all eleven regions of the province.
In a statement, the party says the structures known as Regional Task Teams RTTs are meant to revitalise ANC structures and reconnect the movement with communities.
The ANC says the RTTs are important for its efforts to renew and rebuild the party as it replaces the Regional Executive committees, whose terms have all expired.
This followed the partys appointment of a Provincial Task Team by the national leadership to manage the partys affairs in the province.
The decision to reconfigure the party came after the ANCs poor performance in the 2024 elections in KZN and Gauteng.
