The African National Congress ANC in KwaZulu-Natal KZN says the by-election victory yesterday in the Mpofana Municipality in the Midlands, is testament to their intensified renewal drive.
This as the ANC in the province is being steered by a task team following the bruising defeat in last years national election.
The MK Party won four previously ANC controlled wards since the start of the year.
Provincial ANC spokesperson Fanle Sibisi says the party has been going back to communities where they took part in by-elections, to hear what peoples concerns are.
What is different now, is we understand the context of our renewal. And the context of our renewal is such that we put people first. And we want to hear what they want to tell us. From that we are able to act and guide where we can guide as leader of society.
