Al-Nassr have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Portuguese forward Joo Felix in a deal worth approximately 44 million. Softfootball Understands that the 25-year-old is expected to undergo a medical soon, with paperwork already in progress.
The transfer fee includes an initial 30 million plus add-ons and a significant sell-on clause to meet Chelsea's total 50 million valuation, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano via his official X account .
He tweeted:
Felix, who rejoined Chelsea permanently from Atletico Madrid last summer after a short loan stint in 2023, never quite found consistent form at Stamford Bridge. He was later loaned to AC Milan in February, where he managed three goals in 19 appearances. Chelsea received around 5 million for that deal.
Benfica, Felix's boyhood club, had been in talks to re-sign him, but Al-Nassr moved decisively to secure the attacker as part of their Saudi Pro League ambitions. The club has also extended Cristiano Ronaldo's contract and hired veteran coach Jorge Jesus in their push for domestic and continental glory.
Chelsea, on their part, are using the funds from Felix's sale to accelerate talks with RB Leipzig over Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons . They've also stepped up interest in Ajax defender Jorrel Hato. While Chelsea are prepared to offer 44 million for Hato, Ajax are reportedly holding out for closer to 52 million. Hato, contracted until 2028, has made it clear he wants a move.
The Blues are undergoing another major squad reshuffle this summer. Alongside Felix, several loanees like Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, and Axel Disasi could be offloaded. RB Leipzig are also pursuing midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, while Fulham are eyeing former Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
However, Chelsea's summer signings remain dependent on player exits, and the club will be looking to finalise the deal quickly in order to move ahead with their other transfer dealings.
