Airtel Congo DRC has announced its partnership in the national digital training programme for 250,000 youth, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Youth and Patriotic Awakening in collaboration with Cisco and Cybastion. The programme is a major step toward achieving President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi's "RDC Nation Digital Horizon 2030" vision, which positions digital technology as a key driver of economic and social development, job creation, and youth empowerment across the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The initiative seeks to equip young Congolese with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills, including cybersecurity, programming, and innovation management, to prepare them for the rapidly evolving global digital economy. Airtel Congo DRC's involvement underscores its commitment to strengthening digital inclusion and fostering a generation of tech-savvy leaders capable of shaping the nation's future.
As part of the partnership, Airtel Congo DRC will provide free access to online educational content through its network, ensuring that training materials are available to all participants. The company will also establish a fully equipped training facility to support the training of trainers and create internship, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for outstanding participants.
