The Indian city of Ahmedabad has been officially chosen to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, organisers confirmed on Wednesday.
The decision was approved during the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly meeting in Glasgow, following a formal recommendation by the organisation's executive board.
India's Commonwealth Games Association president, Dr PT Usha, described the announcement as a major honour, saying the event would mark 100 years since the Games were first held and would also serve as a platform to shape the future of the competition.
