The Nigerian basketball federation is once again in crisis. The 2015 African champions will miss the first qualifying window for the 2025 Men's Afrobasket (scheduled for February 23-25, 2023). The leaders have forfeited the event due to a lack of resources. "The government has no funds to finance this campaign," the Federation said on social networks. A number of players present at the 2020 Olympics had nevertheless confirmed their willingness to take part in this 1st qualifying window.
