AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel has accused the ANC of placing his personal safety at risk after the party called on the government to act on groups or individuals who collude with external forces against South Africa.
This follows a Department of Home Affairs DHA raid on Monday 15 December at a Johannesburg centre processing Afrikaner refugee applications. Seven Kenyans were arrested for working at the site while holding tourist visas, a violation of South Africas immigration laws. They have since self-deported.
However, the United States has accused South Africa of harassing its officials involved in the refugee programme after reports claimed they were detained briefly during the raid.
