The Afghanistan cricket team has been penalized by the International Cricket Council ICC for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during their one-off Test match against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club earlier this week. Apart from losing the match by an innings and 73 runs, the Afghanistan team also maintained a slow over-rate against the hosts.
Match referee Richie Richardson imposed a 25 percent fine on Afghan players after they were found five overs short of their target.
