The Super Eagles came into the match already assured of their place in the Round of 16. However, Eric Chelles men needed to avoid defeat to ensure they finished as group winners.
Paul Onuachu put Nigeria in the lead in the first half, finishing off a low cross from Fikayo Dele-Bashiru.
