More Super Eagles players are expected to retire from international football after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
On Thursday, captain William Troost-Ekong shocked fans when he announced that he will no longer play for Nigeria.
Troost-Ekong took the decision after being included in Eric Chelle's provisional squad for the tournament.
