Cape Town police have opened an inquest after a 27-year-old man was found dead on Bree Street on Wednesday night, 24 September 2025, Cape town Etc reports.
According to the South African Police Service SAPS, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Officers have not disclosed further details as the circumstances around his death remain under investigation.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
