Sixteen-year-old Rio Ngumoha unforgettably marked his Premier League debut, scoring a 100th-minute winner to hand Liverpool a dramatic 3-2 victory over 10-man Newcastle United at St James' Park.
The teenager, thrown on deep into stoppage time, became the youngest goalscorer in the club's history as he curled a cool finish past Nick Pope with virtually the last kick of the game.
For much of the evening it looked like Liverpool had thrown away the points. Arne Slot's side raced into a two-goal lead through Ryan Gravenberch's long-range strike and a tidy Hugo Ekitike finish just after the restart, but Newcastle fought back despite Anthony Gordon's red card before the interval.
