ZTE Corporation and MTN have unveiled Africa's first 5G Advanced Intelligent Safety and Control 5GA ISAC deployment at AfricaCOM 2025 in Cape Town. The initiative leverages next-generation 5G technology to enhance port operations and ensure maritime safety, particularly around Hout Bay, where smart sensors help guide ships away from a seal sanctuary, protecting the local wildlife.
