Zambia's Ministry of Education has successfully digitalised 75 classrooms nationwide as part of its ongoing efforts to modernise the country's education system. Education Minister Hon. Douglas Syakalima announced the milestone during a courtesy visit by Edulution Group Chief Executive Officer Richard Akwei and Country Head Ms. Muule Moonga.

Hon. Syakalima explained that the rollout of Smart Classrooms reflects the Ministry's commitment to keeping pace with global technological advancements while ensuring equitable access to quality education for both urban and rural learners. The Smart Classrooms are equipped with interactive boards, computers, and internet connectivity, enabling teachers to adopt more engaging, technology-enhanced teaching methods.

He noted that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional and digital learning environments, standardise the delivery of education, and ensure that no child is left behind, regardless of geographical location. "This programme is not only about technology but also about equity," he said, emphasising the importance of preparing learners for a digital-driven future where technological competence is essential.
