Over 300 traffic law enforcement LE officers in the Western Cape have undergone extensive training on Trafficking in Persons TIP, also known as human trafficking, reports Cape townEtc.
This comprehensive programme is a joint effort between the Western Cape Department of Social Development DSD and the Western Cape Mobility Department WCMD, supported by A21 South Africa, a non-profit organisation specialising in combatting human trafficking.
Since November, a total of 334 officers have completed specialised modules designed to enhance their knowledge and response capability. Training areas included:
