Traditionally, South African vaccines have relied on foreign outsourcing for their active pharmaceutical ingredients, with processes primarily limited to fill and finish. In contrast, Biovacs Oral Cholera Vaccine will be developed from initial bacterial strains right through to the final product within the country itself.
