President Cyril Ramaphosa has given the assurance that government will redouble its efforts to protect the Madlanga Commission of Inquirys whistleblowers and witnesses.
This follows the killing of a witness, Marius van der Merwe, in Brakpan, east of Johannesburg, on Friday night.
He was gunned down in front of his wife and children at their home.
