Four people were taken for questioning at OR Tambo International Airport ORTIA on Friday morning by the Hawks in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The Hawks, however, say that this has nothing to do with the plight of 17 South Africans in Russia.
The Hawks would not release names and say the matter is being dealt with in terms of the rights of the individuals been questioned.
