One person is missing after heavy rain caused localised flooding in Dundee in the Endumeni Municipality and three wards in the Umlalazi Municipality near Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday night.
The provincial Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department says it has also received a report on an incident in which one person was injured after being struck by lightning however, details are still sketchy.
The department says it has dispatched disaster management teams to both municipalities. It also says a search is underway for the missing 35-year-old woman.
