Afrika Mayibuye Movement leader Floyd Shivambu says the movement intends to fill the gap left by the African National Congress ANC, arguing that the governing party has lost its moral and ideological compass.
This comes as members of the Afrika Mayibuye Movement wrapped up their inaugural national convention at the University of Johannesburgs Soweto campus. The party says delegates from all 54 districts attended as they adopted the founding documents, policies and commission reports.
Shivambu says the party is positioning itself as a new liberation movement centred on dignity, service and direct community action.
