Police head of crime intelligence Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo is receiving the best medical treatment after he fell ill before he could resume with his testimony at the Madlanga Commission on Wednesday morning, the SAPS has confirmed.
National police spokesperson Brig Athlenda Mathe said national commissioner Gen Fannie Masemola was in touch with Khumalom and had confirmed he was in good spirits, and taking health advice from his physician.
'The generals health is receiving priority, and the Madlanga Commission will be kept abreast of all developments pertaining to his condition, as well as when he will be available to continue with his testimony, she said.
