After emerging victorious in the 2025 ODI World Cup last month, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team is all set to face Sri Lanka in a five-match T20I series. This is going to be India's first assignment since they defeated South Africa in the finals of the 50-over World Cup in Navi Mumbai on November 2.
The series against Sri Lanka gets underway on December 21, with the first T20I being held at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The same venue will host the second T20I on December 23. For the last three matches on December 26, 28, and 30, the action will shift to the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Talking about the players selected, there are just two changes from the team which won the T20 World Cup final. Radha Yadav has made way for fellow left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma. Meanwhile, 17-year-old wicketkeeper G Kamalini steps in for Uma Chetry.
