India defeated South Africa by a massive margin of 101 runs in the first T20I played in Cuttack. After being invited to bat first, India scored 175 runs on the board. Hardik Pandya played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 59 off just 28 balls to lift India to a competitive total.
In reply, South Africa collapsed to just 74 runs all out as all six Indian bowlers took wickets. However, the biggest highlight of the match was Jasprit Bumrahs historic milestone.
Jasprit Bumrah has created history by becoming the second Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. The milestone came when he dismissed Dewald Brevis during the first T20I against South Africa on Tuesday. Before Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh had reached the 100-wicket mark for India in T20Is.
