Ghana's Girls-in-ict Programme Inspires 1,000 Girls To Pursue Tech And Stem Careers

The Chairperson of the Mentorship Session for the National Girls-In-ICT Programme in Ghana's Upper West Region, Prof. Hamida Dramani, who also serves as the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University, has urged participating girls to embrace Information and Communication Technology ICT skills as a pathway to self-empowerment and global opportunity.

Addressing the 1,000 beneficiaries, Prof. Dramani highlighted the importance of ICT and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics STEM education in preparing young women to thrive in the digital age. She commended the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation for leading a transformative initiative that not only imparts practical digital skills but also fosters mentorship and leadership development among girls.

She encouraged the participants to remain focused, confident, and determined in pursuing their ambitions within the fast-changing, technology-driven world.
