The Ministry of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation is representing the Gabonese Republic at the World Conference on Telecommunications Development CMDT-25, taking place from 17 to 28 November 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union ITU.
Gabon's participation carries added significance this year, as the country takes part as a member of the ITU Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship Alliance, underscoring its growing influence within key global digital governance institutions.
According to the Ministry, Gabon's presence at CMDT-25 aims to advance several national priorities, including expanding connectivity, strengthening digital inclusion, and promoting innovation. The delegation is also tasked with showcasing ongoing reforms in infrastructure development, cybersecurity, national cloud capabilities, artificial intelligence, and digital entrepreneurship-key pillars of the country's digital transformation agenda.
