Former Kruger National Park regional ranger, Rodney Landela and his co-accused, Kenneth Motshotsho, have appeared in the Skukuza Regional Court as their long-running rhino poaching trial returned to court.
The two are facing multiple charges linked to the killing and dehorning of a white rhino in the Kingfisher Spruit area of the Kruger National Park in 2016.
Defence counsel has argued that the credibility of the forensic and physical evidence is deeply flawed, telling the court that the prosecution has not produced enough verified proof directly linking the men to the crime.
