Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni has denied reports that a Chinese state-sponsored cyber-espionage group called RedNovember may have breached South Africas State Security Agency SSA.
Ntshavheni was responding to a recent parliamentary question by Democratic Alliance MP Diane Kohler-Barnard , who sought an assurance that the alleged hacking did not happen.
In September, MyBroadband cited a report by intelligence company Recorded Future, whose research entity Insikt Group reportedly identified a state security organisation in Africa as one of RedNovembers likely victims.
