Cape Town Central police responded to a shooting in Astana Street, Bo-Kaap, on Monday at about 13:30, reports Cape town Etc .
Officers found a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel declared him dead at the scene.
Sergeant Wesley Twigg, a Western Cape police spokesman, said the victim was approached by a unknown suspect/s who opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
