On the opening day of the first Test match against South Africa at Eden Gardens on Friday, Indias star bowler Jasprit Bumrah emerged as the teams main strike weapon. After dismissing openers Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton, Bumrah believed he had trapped South Africa captain Temba Bavuma in front of the stumps as well. However, the on-field umpire declined to give the decision in Indias favour.
Bumrah, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, and a few other players discussed the possibility of taking a review. But the conversation went viral online for an unexpected reason.
In the video, one of Bumrah and Pant appears to refer to Bavuma a bauna short or dwarf. Since being shared, the clip has gained significant attention on social media.
