The former Kenyan Davis Cup player Eno Polo has been appointed as the new chief executive of the ATP, the governing body for the mens professional tennis circuit announced on Wednesday.
The 58-year-old, who reached a career high ranking of 574 in 1990, succeeds Massimo Calvelli with immediate effect after the Italian stepped down in June following more than five years in the role.
Since 2021, he has served as a player representative on the ATP board of directors, the statement said.
