UniCloud Africa has officially launched its Sovereign Cloud Platform under the theme "One Cloud, One Africa," marking a transformative step in Africa's pursuit of digital and economic independence. The initiative positions the company at the forefront of efforts to empower the continent through secure, scalable, and locally hosted cloud infrastructure, tailored specifically for African enterprises.

As a pan-African cloud services provider, UniCloud Africa is driving the growth of the region's cloud computing market, which is valued at approximately 5 billion. The new sovereign platform offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service IaaS, Platform-as-a-Service PaaS, and advanced data storage and backup solutions - all hosted locally to ensure compliance with national data protection regulations. This local hosting approach is designed to minimize foreign exchange dependency, promote data sovereignty, and give organizations full ownership and control over their digital assets.

The launch event highlighted UniCloud Africa's broader mission to promote digital independence across the continent. The platform offers 100 percent in-country data hosting, zero data egress fees, local currency billing, and a 99.999 percent uptime, adhering to global security and continuity standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 22301. These features reflect UniCloud Africa's commitment to building trust, transparency, and accessibility into the digital ecosystem.
